we are sentient energy
music is humanity's demonstration of our control of energy. it is powerful because it holds the mirror back toward ourselves.
i have always heard music. my parents had me classically trained at two on the piano. i learnt how to produce at fourteen, and guitar at eighteen. so in the contemporary sense, yes, i can understand music in terms of the classification system we have put to try and quantify it. notes, clefs, scales, timing. my unlock came when i found an even purer form of music: energy.
the unlock needed silence. a space quiet enough and peaceful enough to allow for absolute silence within. the complete cessation of thoughts, which opened my ears to hearing the music for the first time.
i stopped dancing for others, and began dancing for myself. when my soul was completely silent, the rhythm took over.
when one person randomly smiles at you, it can change the entire way you feel, and carry forward to every other interaction you have during the day. what power. the ripple effect of energy is distilled across the entire universe, and it requires no physical exchange at all.
i am not here to offer solutions, or to propose there is one. simply making observations from the tools and knowledge that humanity has lent my mind.
